DESIGNER: Lars Bergquist
New Millennium is the name of three font families which share a common design philosophy, a common x-height, and basic character shapes. They are thus useful in combination with each other. Still, they belong to three distinct type groups, New Millennium, New Millennium Sans, and New Millennium Linear. New Millennium Sans is a 'humanist sans' in the Optima vein, though without the quirks (such as the 'waisted' strokes) of the latter typeface. It is perfectly useable as a book face, for texts of an appropriate character. Sans has upper-case but individually fitted figures. The boldfaces are identical to those of New Millennium. The Sans has no super- and subscript face of its own, but that of New Millennium Linear will work perfectly well.
